The National Federation of Master Steeplejacks and Lightning Conductor Engineers which was formed in 1946 has now changed its name to ATLAS (Association of Technical Lightning and Access Specialists). This is the leading trade association of employers whose companies are engaged in the steeplejack, lightning conductor, earthing design, installation and maintenance of high rise buildings, industrial chimneys, churches and other tall structures. Such is their reputation, representatives from the Association sit on various steering committees, overseeing changes relating to current regulations including health & safety etc. |
